Australia and Thailand collaborate on transport connectivity

Sharing expertise on sustainable transport systems between Australia and its partners helps unlock growth and economic benefits for communities and business in our region.   As part of a growing transport cooperation under Australia and Thailand’s strategic partnership, Partnerships for Infrastructure supported a five-day study tour to Australia in November to December 2023, bringing 12 senior officials from Thailand’s Ministry of Transport to Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney to visit transport facilities and meet with transport operators and government decision-makers. The tour focused on multimodal transport planning, public transport accessibility, and decarbonisation of the transport sector.
